I’ve been working on a series of portraits to accompany an article on military tattoos that ran in the last issue of the Texas Observer. Most of these are from the tattoo convention a few months ago.

This is a slightly obvious composite. Everything was taken at a park in North Austin where I habitually get lost.

I’ve had a spurt of noir-related activities for a bit (notably Chinatown and some Raymond Chandler) that got me going on this little set. I haven’t touched it in a while, but maybe I should.

I was going to make these part of Project What Do I Do With This Deer Head, but that didn’t quite work out, so they’re just normal, non-deer head portraits.

Here’s the first in my Letters in Landscapes series. The idea is to combine dramatic landscapes with 3D letters built in Blender. 25 to come.
